So my progress has slowed somewhat and I'm blaming the multitude of options for me and the way they might be at odds with each other. Crippled by choice innit.
- The GFX freelancer - the most straightforward route to take, most instantly recognisable as a profession, with the clearest route. This would simply demand a gfx showreel and a gfx-dominated website. And also probably making new pieces, in specialist styles like Mettle Freeform characters, photo dissection, mesh warping etc. Which would be a lot more time-consuming than is at first obvious.
- Be a GFX Company - and cold-pitch new ideas to clients. This would require a back-catalogue of completed projects, or highlights of, at least. Then a strategy to get places. This approach could perhaps be combined with the previous, by having a new page on the web about ideas, strategy etc. Advertising the worth of social media video.
- Aim for VR/360 greatness. Buy plugins, make content that shoots for that. That is more of a new-laptop, new content thing though... Or at least bashing a load of old shit into shape.
- Chase the WallTime dream full-time... crack on and get a video together for that, prototype team, think of the best path.
/6/7 etc - Is there any life in the old dreams, they keep exciting me when I spend time remembering them, and often a thing pops up in the news/tech updates that make me think they might have some legs. The Bike Helmet with lights, camera and GPS for instance. To Kickstart. Or the basics juice brand that hopes to use profits from premium sales to part-finance nourishment for the kids that struggle!
